Touring the Town

Part of the Big Dig, the Zakim Bridge (background) is the widest cable-stayed bridge in the world.
We did one of those corny Duck Tours,
but it was totally worth it.
A view of Boston from the “duck” in the Charles River.
That blue dot in front of the  gate to the Massachusetts State House is Aviva.
In Boston Common
Our (tired) feet on the Freedom Trail. We were standing on the spot of the Boston Massacre.

There is so much to do and see in Boston, and it’s almost all easily accessible from the T (subway) stop about two blocks from our apartment. So in the days before work, we toured Boston to see some of the sites and get acclimated. Not everything we did was a Kodak moment (not included in these pictures are such sights as Paul Revere’s house, the beach, and the New  England Holocaust Memorial, among others), but here are some highlights of the places more appropriate for picture-taking.
